What:
AXA Hong Kong partnered with HSBC to launch Overseas StudySurance, an insurance plan for students studying abroad.
Why:
To address the gap in coverage in for overseas study, many benefits were added, such as irrecoverable school fees protection, education fund, coverage for student taking internship or part-time job (non-manual employment only) during the study trip, which are not offered by travel insurance.
How:
- The Overseas StudySurance includes protection for medical expenses, personal accident, worldwide personal liability, accidental loss of and damage to personal belongings, emergency family reunion expenses, education fund and more.
- Hong Kong residents between the ages of 10 to 40 are eligible for the coverage.
- Overseas StudySurance offers worldwide coverage in which internships are arranged or endorsed by the overseas education institution and incidental travels during the study trip as well as a non-manual part-time job outside Hong Kong.
- Conventional travel and various sports such as cycling, snow skiing, hiking, horse-riding, canoeing, rafting, windsurfing, scuba diving are also covered.
